=/ ... I'm just so confused right now. I'm not trying to throw shades at any fandom here but these numbers are reminiscent of older Johnny's groups like V6 and TOKIO. I read a comment yesterday ( Read more... )

Oh my... =/ It kinda hurts to look at TTL sale numbers right now. I can only guess several reasons that lead to these numbers:
- Japanese fans just don't like the whole 'rap' thing or the song in general? (I see most of international fans like it)
- too much Engrish broken down in the lyrics to understand the song?
- only 2 versions of the single (someone please tell me if Oricon counts the sales from the special version?)
- not enough promotion?
- fans already spent all their money on other releases?
Anyway, if this continues they may not break the 100k mark for 1st week. I don't wanna see that >.<
Hope they can keep their #1 streak though :((

Not really "justifying", but the main reason is that TTL has only 2 versions. It's already a miracle they sold 60k, like a normal 3 version release, in the first day to begin with :O Lower sales are expected (not so low but yeah, at least I see where part of the reason cames from).
And TTL has only 2 appearances on TV for promo (while normally each release has 3-4 performances at minimum). TV perfs mean a lot in appealing Japanese audience. :/

ETA: Forgot to say. Many Japanese fans don't like the song for a reason I still can't figure out. They don't like KT when they sing WHITE nor when they sing TTL, I really don't get what they want them to be xD

I agree with this. 2 versions plus basically very little promotion really hurt the sale. I hope JE is not just dropping KT. Seeing Maru and Ueda having drama give me hope. It'll probably take a while but if the boys keep getting TV works then things will get better

It shocked me when I saw the second day 's sales.
I just don't get what Japanese fans want from KAT-TUN.
I saw that most of international fans really love TO THE LIMIT.
I just can't understand Japanese fans, really.=_=
