Super Simple Smoothies

So this is getting late for Chow Saturday, but I've been meaning to post this for a while, and just recently got time to write it up!

Smoothies are all-around awesome, not only because they're tasty, but because they have good things in them. I make my smoothies with yogurt, which has a fair amount of protein, depending on the type you get. I also ( Read more... )

Oooh, I love avocados! But I have to eat them sparingly because I (sort of) have an allergy to them. Which sucks because they are AWESOME. However, being all mixed up in a smoothie they probably wouldn't affect me as much. I'll have to try it!

I use flax too, if I can be bothered to find it in my cupboards! XD

I find that using more banana, and making sure it is a very ripe (if not overripe) one usually enables me to go without any sweetener.

Haha - my bananas are usually overripe just because I forget I have them, and then I'm like "oooh, look, spotty bananas..."

But yeah, I've never needed a sweetener with my smoothies. Those mushy bananas probably help. :)
