there is an old man at my work who comes down and cleans the place up every night at close. i would put him in his 70's. he came down tonight and he had cuts and bruises all over his face. he got jumped in the alley behind the Rex. they wanted someone to beat up. i wonder what these peoples dreams are like?

speaking of disgusting people... out here on Halloween a bus driver opened the doors of her bus to hand out candy when she was pulled from it by two teenage girls who proceeded to beat the shit out of her. then, shaken, the driver parks the bus and leaves it there only to have it torched later.

here's a link to the story with a couple photos of the bus: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2007/11/01/bc-bus.html

this happened just up the street from my new place which is surprising since it's a really community oriented, friendly neighbourhood.

some people are just shit.

if only! i have been thinking about home a lot lately since ryan and i are planning on coming back together this summer and i can't shut up about how awesome and how much fun it's going to be.

aside from your failing faith in humanity, how are things?

how many times can i say intense? gogglespisano November 8 2007, 22:36:49 UTC
not coming home for x-mas?? wow. thats some intense disappontment.

faith hasn't changed, despite the brutal selfishness and lack of compassion in our world there are always an intense amount of intensely awesome people doing intensely great things and just being intensely all around wicked. i think i just don't get quite as desensitized to everything as a lot of people do, and i get furious when such gross things happen.

i am well....not too much to tell thats worth you staring at a screen for, but all is well....i've recently seen Rollins and the Dalai Lama speak which were both intensely inspiring (had to cringe for a bit when the Dalai Lama went on about how the U.S. are the leaders of freedom and democracy) but it was otherwise great, and Rollins really does just keep getting better and better. and i'm seeing Neil Young at Massey Hall this month too which should be sweet.

would love to hear anything about you if you get the time,

peace

don't let it kill your faith my brother.

your belief in the powers of good, along with your resolve to make the world a better place in what ways you can is enough to tower over shit like that.

can i come and buy the gent a drink one night this week?

(((!!!)))

mikey
