[He sighs a little, as though bored. Or thoughtful. Maybe.]
Today I've had a thought.
I thought... given our sudden arrival in a strange new world with new laws of nature and mysterious rules we know very little about, it seems like a good idea it be pleasant to socialize a bit.
That Patrol girl. The one who offered you persimmons.
Watch her for me. Find out about her, and her kind.
As a specimen she's rather interesting already - very young, and very strong. Not unlike that boy. But in her case, she is also the lover of that man, Isley. I wouldn't say he concerns me, but the combination of his strength and his mind does make him a person of note. The combination of the two of them may even be annoying.
I want to know what she is, and what it is she offers him. After speaking to him for some time, I can't imagine it's as simple as an emotional connection.
But of course she isn't the only one of her kind, so the question remains open - why her?

[By which he means... gather information. A lot.]

[A single thought? Not bloody likely. Keeping up with him isn't easy, much less trying to get a step ahead.]
Gonna invite folks over for tea?
[Now he knows better than that.]
Or did ya already have something else in mind?
