So I have possibly, unavoidably become slightly obsessed with Brad Colbert and his chill angst. Because for such a chill guy, he seems to have a lot of manly angst going on there.

I'm a child of the '90s/early '00s, so this song was like a staple of my music collection. And when I was watching Gen Kill, I kept thinking: ok, we really need some slower Sugar Ray to go with Brad's war angst. Semi-ironic lyrics for the win? ;)

Thank you! Mark McGarth's music career might be kind of surreal now that he's a host of Entertainment Tonight (or whatever it's called), but Sugar Ray had some good stuff back in the day. ♥

Also, Brad is definitely the best. Everytime I think about GK, I just keep thinking: oh, Brad. ♥

I know, right! Dude, I slowly watched GK whilst in the middle of moving, and then I basically finished the book and series at about the same time and I overloaded from GK deprivation. Although at least I had fic to keep me tied over then. I recently, rewatched it and now I don't even have anymore new fic. :'( I feel like I should read One Bullet Away just to get more source material, haha.

Look, I don't care how interesting this show appears or how hot AS is, I'm not getting sucked into GK. *resists really really hard*

OMG, but GK is only 7 episodes long! Seven episodes is so easily doable! And, it has Brad Colbert. Brad randomly reminds me of John Sheppard if John Sheppard was better adjusted and hates people. And if John Sheppard existed in real life. (Seriously, it randomly makes me happy to know that somewhere out there, there's a real Brad Colbert floating about and being Iceman-ish. ♥)

And! It has Nate! Firstly, I have to point out that Stark Sands (who plays Nate) could totally take on Alex for prettiest marine of the battalion. And possibly win. No really, he just has these great delicate features and this voice, but then he's being completely competent and commanding and it's fabulous. And when he gets his sad look, I'm pretty sure everyone in his immediate vicinity has to physically resist the urge to hug him ( ... )

I never thought I'd say this but...I enjoyed a Sugar Ray song. Like, a lot. o__o

What a great Brad video; there's a wonderful flow to the clips and it really comes together for me. You were going for nostalgically sad-ish and that's totally what I got. Very nice indeed.
