I'm guessing that my list of friends will be rather slow growing, mostly because everyone prolly likes Rachel/Riesiel a bit better. No argument there, I like her better too

LJ following being slow. *Laugh* I bet if you look at your friends list it has all the same people on it that Rachel's does! I agree. The growing up thing can be quite . . . wearying, at times. Money, specifically, seems to be a challenge extremely often lately. Blech.
oh, i don't know... maybe i'm lucky, but i always seem to recieve windfalls just about the time i decide to stop beating my self up over the odds of failure and decide to start (cheesy buzzword to come) "following my bliss".
for example, after 2 years of quiet desperation i'm going back to school. and suddenly, our money situation resolves itself via fin-aid.
::shrug:: there are beautiful things in adulthood... love, parenthood, learning you have lifelong friends...
also, the levels of responsibility are directly related to your freedom of choice. true, when i was a child, i never had bills of my own. but on the other hand, my mother bought my clothes, and her disapproval of my style came in the form of refusal to subsidize it. ::shrug:: granted, i can't wear my fishnet shirt or the dress with the bondage straps on it to work, but at least i have them, and for that, i have work to thank. ::grin:: vicious cycle.
Yeah, financial aid is another dilema for us. Currently we've both kinda shot ourselves in the foot by bombing out classes (due to lack of attention, not lack of capability of course), so we currently do not qualify. We're figuring it all out. Right now, Rachel's going to use the trust fund that was left by her Grandfather in his Will. The funds are specifically designated to certain things, primarily getting all 3 of his grandchildren to finish up college. So yes, there is usually good options if you go looking for them. (None for me, but we'll just figure that out later.)
From your responses, it comes back to me why I loved hanging out with you two. Optimism and positive outlook are things that make me happier.
