i love how you described what he feels and that he's one that does not freak about the whole thing it's a nice change to most "first time" or pre-slash fics where they usually flip about the gay-sex issue and need to be calmed down - which can be nice to, but it does become boring.

Yeah, the "relax and trust me, I will make you feel good" has become quite the fanfic cliche. Not overly fond of that myself.

I can't see Ray as one to freak out over such a thing. Gah, the guy runs around with a Mountie that licks *everything*. Ray's way beyond freaking about such little things like gay sex. ,)

But the going from loving a woman to loving a man without much between (or before), that can be a bit disturbing at first. Or so I thought.

An interesting glimpse into Ray K's thoughts. He's so ... scattered yet there's definitely a great deal of introspection to him. I can believe he'd feel this way - and it's great that you didn't deny his feelings for Stella - more showed how Ray sees the similarities between the two relationships. He's never gonna let her go, but he's found a way to let his relationship with Fraser deepen despite this.

Slasher or no slasher, to just ignore Ray's feelings for Stella would be plain stupid. He showed them too clearly on the show to do that. And really? I like him that much more for his compassion and not easily forgotten love for the woman he was married to for over 10 years.

Love the humor and the way you captured Ray's thoughts. From being slightly confused about this whole thing to actually being okay with. Pretty smooth.

Made it true, made him throw caution and fear overboard (well mostly, there was still the matter of the gay sex that he’d never had before) and just go for it.
