So, saying Mrs. Voorhees is the Killer, and not Jason, in Friday the 13th part 1 is like saying "Well, Charles Manson never actually killed anyone," or "Well, Hitler never killed a Jew himself." It's just plain wrong.
I don't know why, but I've always been partial to the Jason movies. I'm rewatching them in order. And, after watching part 1 again, it just seemed to click. I should go to film school and write a doctoral thesis on this topic (Dr of Slasher Movie Theory, BTW).
