I hate the new pop-up ads that LiveJournal forces you to endure after you sign in or after every few page clicks.  They are super annoying, but luckily I've discovered that pushing refresh reloads the page without the ad.

It's because you have a plus account - if you go to http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/ and click "manage" on the account level option, you should be able to select "basic" which will get rid of the ads.
