So I'm watching TV,and there's a commercial for Resolve. this twin-set-and-pearls 40-something housewife is frustrated with her carpet stains. Whatever will she do? She will use a bottle of Resolve, and her carpet will look like new, and therefore, her life will be complete. She's standing back with a self-satisfied smile, clutching her Resolve

My problem with Resolve and other carpet-cleaning products is that I generally use them on pee, and after a while, I start associating the smell of Resolve (or whatever I'm using) with pee. i.e. Resolve smells like pee to me.

The solution I want right now? Just replace all the freaking carpeting.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. It totally smells like cat pee to me.

The same thing happened when I used to use the insanely expensive enzyme cleaner. I think that's when I switched to Resolve, actually. I wonder if the enzymes would smell like pee to me now....
