Happy Fourth to my U.S. friends and those from the U.S. living elsewhere! Usually, we in my family end up Greekifying our US holiday to a shameful degree, but today's plans are purely American: grilled meat, corn, and I'm making my drunken strawberry shortcake (blueberries added for effect). I hope, whatever you end up doing, it turns out fun

My mom tried to slice her finger off around 1am, so I don't think we will be doing much of anything today. She didn't want to go to the doctor, so we've got duct tape hold the thing together. I'd even bought a really loud 4th of July skirt. I have know idea about fun, but safe is already out the window.

Have fun! My family doesn't do much anymore for the 4th, so I cling to the hilarious memoroies of one my uncles setting off fireworrks while all of us sit watching on my grandfathers front lawn...(yeah it's kinda like a walking redneck joke...but fun)
