Okay, so here's what I think (LOCI thoughts)

I never thought D'Onofrio was "off his game" (as I've read in articles). That was never my problem. I understood completely what the writers were doing with him. I thought the scene two weeks ago where he's just staring at the guy in interrogation, and the guy's getting all freaked out was fucking hilarious. The problem with LOCI was and is ( Read more... )

You're right, it was a mish-mash of several things we've seen before, but I did think there was at least more energy (and not just VDO, in fact I honestly thought the interogation scene could have been less...physical...more quiet...I don't know exactly what I want to say here but something didn't quite sit right with me,). It's at the very least the least flat episode and the characters didn't seem as off (whether that's saying a lot or not is anyone's guess), but there is still a sense of them (the writers) playing with someone else's toys, you know ( ... )

Also I was very distracted by the girl in her big crying scene because he kept reminding me of Sarah Michelle Gellar crying -- I don't know why.

ME TOO! I think it's because their lips are shaped the same. There was something about her mouth that reminded me of SMG as well.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that no episode is going to please all fans anymore. I think that time is long past. I was simply pointing out that Goren's characterization has never been a problem for me as far as this season has gone. they put him on this road and now we have to see him through. I just wish he had better cases to work with.

Who knows what next week's episode is going to be about? I don't even try to anticipate anymore what's going to happen based on the promos.

Still best episode of the season. Whoever scored the music for the final scene was brilliant. And I agree. They need to bring back the A-list writers but that's how Television works when a show is doing well they move the A-listers to new show and replace them with B & C-Listers.
