Ignoring the urge to write/draw/create can actually make you genuinely mental. You need to get stuff out of your head otherwise there's too much noise.

"YOUR SANITY IS THE POINT."

Amen to that!

LOCI -- do you think there's anyway to bribe the old writers to come back instead? :/
Maybe I need to re-watch this episode because I had a hard time following it. Or maybe I just need to pay more attention to the N/W ones...lol. I try to...but they just haven't grabbed me yet. I honestly think the only reason I watch the G/E ones so intently is because I know what they could be. *shrugs*

p.s. I'm glad you are reviewing the books. You've turned into my dealer...lol.

Recommending books isn't just a passion for me, it's a calling. I truly believe that.

I liked the last episode because they managed to balance the personal/procedural stuff quite well. The plot was as convoluted as they used to be - and that's a compliment. I miss those densely packed episodes where the obvious turns into Something More.

Yes!

I guess I just need to give them more of a chance. I'm just still bothered by the similarities which makes me lose interest. Though I do agree the personal/procedural was handled well and was nicely balanced.

I agree that you must allow the muse loose onto paper and out of your head or suffer brain infarctions.

I also enjoyed this last LOCI and hold hope in my heart the writers will have loosened up and done a little research into past seasons and we'll have a true G/E episode.

Poem was delicious.

And rhyming occasionally is just another venue for the muse and is okay though not necessarily popular. But then who of us cares about popularity.

It is important to put down what the muse produces--we must write--whatever--to please ourselves.

Remember Ricky Nelson's GARDEN PARTY "You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself."

I'd say you're doing a fine job.

Thank you! I don't mind rhyming too much - the sonnet is my favorite poetry form - but my thirteen-year-old self didn't know yet how to write a poem without versing it up. I find it humorous rather than something to be embarrassed of.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone is seeing the G/E writers obviously have no sense of the history of these characters. this makes me sad, as there are seven years of history to build upon that is being ignored.

thank you for commenting!

You're totally right about it having to be expressed.
If I didn't let the little people yammering in my head out for a gallop now & then, I'd go utterly wonky bonkers! No, really, MORE WONKY BONKERS THAN NOW, truly. I know, hard to believe.

That site is hilarious, as is that exam paper. Reminds me of a number of VERY intelligent kids I knew in school - always acting up, but they had the material down so fast that everything else was an utter bore to them, so they acted up. *shrug*

See, I used to think poetry was SUPPOSED to rhyme. I couldn't figure out how all the old dead people got called 'genius' for poetry that didn't rhyme. It irritated my young self something fierce at one time. *snirk*

Your reasons for your choice of poetry are excellent. Mine will be so very much shallow.
