Your comparison to the gas prices is spot on. I think I've been pretty open about the fact that my standards have been lowered with CI and Ive given up on being able to have in-depth conversation about any of the episodes that do meet my standards. This saddens me because I don't want to have lowered standards. I want my G & E and good writing too and I have definitely settled for just the G & E, who at the very least are more in character than they were. Sadly, when it comes to the actual story lines I pretty much tone out and pretty much just look at VDO and KE and go "pretty." I'm not proud of this but, while I thougt Loyalty was a piece of crap eaten and thrown up...I still was okay with them being done and gone. And I was ready to hate this season but then they were all shiny and this writing team at least is trying even if it still remains more like high level fan fiction than a true to form solid episode like those of seasons 2 & 4. So at this point I'm just hanging on for the ride because I can't not...I am sickly attached

Texting you during the episodes is the only thing keeping me from arghing myself into a migraine. I think my frustration stems from this self-congratulatory air about it all. I can respect your decision to just watch it for Goren and Eames. I wish I could do the same, but when the case resolution pisses me off, then they aren't Goren and Eames to me. Your comparison to fanfiction is spot-on.
Now I'm off to watch a (most likely) terrible CM season finale and try not to get irritated all over again...

So did CM annoy you as much as CI? I watched it and seemed okay, but I don't understand why they wrote off two of their female leads to replace them with a stoic mini me version of JJ and now have it look like they're bringing JJ back. But that little moment between Reid and Morgan when he teased him about working out was cute. I have to say you kinda sold me on that ship.

Oh, CM totally annoyed me. Let's not even start with the obvious "we haven't worked out our contract negotiations yet, so we're prepping the viewer that some of us may not return" storyline. You have a case that really isn't finale-worthy. And an unsub that shocks everyone at the end, so we never know her motivation, or why she hung out in the cages with the victims, or how she got those men to follow her lead. I guess they kind of blew their wad with Prentiss leaving.
Oh, and JJ's coming back, cool and all, but how did this happen? She wasn't given a choice about leaving, but she can choose to return?
Morgan and Reid are adorable personified. In my head, even if they see other people, they will always be in love.
You have 2 doors in front of you. One goes to hell and is guarded by the devil, who only lies. The other goes to heaven and is guarded by an angel, who only tells the truth. You don't know which is which.
You can ask one of them one question before you choose a door to go through. What do you ask and which door do you choose?

"It's gotten a lot better. Dean only killed two or three hookers this season."
