love the color in your hallway there. .. maybe use hot glue for the shell lights? I love little light strings I have several.. one my son gave me that's little carved wooden lanterns with red insets and it doesnt work either.. I should really fix it..:)
Does the Madonna light up?

I have tried a hot glue gun but they won't stay together. I am thinking something a little stronger...maybe crazy glue or something.

No the Madonna doesn't lit up. She is a vase but I don't have flowers in Her.
