If I have to hear one more person yell at me about W2s, I'm going to explode!!

NO, WE AREN'T REQUIRED TO GET THEM TO YOU BY JAN. 31ST. WE ARE REQUIRED TO MAIL THEM TO YOU BY TODAY.
Why does it take so long? Because the company has to send out over 150,000 of them!!!!!

tell them the number changed and that the company is no longer in business LOL....i'd love to see that reaction. If you keep getting these calls, you might as well have fun with it right?? :)

That would be difficult since I answer the phone with the company's name.

this is true. hmmm, yea your kinda shafted unless you jeopardize your own job...
However, i do have on solution you can try...which is a lot of fun.

You can do what they did in super troopers and try to fit in a random word in there as you talk, like the one they used "meow" or one a friend of mine and I did a while back..."dolphin" hahaha good times.

Or if you get really ambitious you can make an automated recording that says "The W2's have been delivered and you will be getting them soon" (or something of the sort), "Press 1 for any other questions". A lot of companies do things like this when they experience a large amount of calls dealing with one question, and your boss might actually go for it, unless your agency is one that prides itself in having people answer the phone first.

I get one question at my job so often through phone or e-mail it still boggles my mind...the dreaded question "how do i rename a document?" lol
