Wow, brilliant story - nicely suspenseful! I hope we find out what happened to Earth and whether Teyla and Ronon are OK.

(i.e. please can we have a sequel? *g*)

Oh, man. The worst kind of thing to happen, and everyone slowly dying and the boys on their own.... Creepy and effective.
*flails*

Good stuff!

Brr-rr-r! This is even more creepy because it's realistic & believeable. The "regular" off-world missions in canon episodes didn't really show the worry & fear of those who stayed put & waited helplessly, unable to do anything. Neat that this fic is all about the helpless waiting & what that's like for John & Rodney.

“You’re no good to anyone if you’re dead.” He took a deep breath. “And for once I’m going to be fucking selfish. You’re no good to me if you’re dead.”

I particularly like that Rodney didn't hesitate to 'fight dirty' here. Of course he'd realize that John wouldn't be able to stay in quarantine for himself, so Rodney played the personal card to keep John away from the plague. Lorne does the same thing in his messages to keep both Rodney & John away. It's really how we'd hope each of them (or we?) would behave in such a situation: do their duty & fulfill their part of the 'mission', no matter how it hurt. :-\

Yeesh. Don't know if I can say I enjoyed reading this, but thank you for writing & sharing it with us.
