They have tragic ends, often enough.

It's funny that something meant to soothe a child is actually quite the opposite. I take it you're fond of nursery rhymes?

[Cain conceded, turning his cheek away from the phone, though still addressing it] The sound of the rhyme is pleasant and catchy. I suppose that's it.

I enjoy most of the Mother Goose nursery rhymes.

Are you familiar with them?

Of course, I'm familiar with them. [A small laugh] I was a child at one point in my life.

Yes. [And by the look of it, they might actually be contemporaries. Teens that grew up fast]

I wasn't sure if they were universally recognized.

I'm not sure if every world and race represented in Somarium is familiar with Mother Goose, but I think the concept of a nursery rhyme is universally recognized.
