[At some point, Haruki may notice he's picked up a spectator. Goroh, now the oldest non-immortal person in Luceti, is leaning against the wall of another building, slowly working down a cigarette, and watching as Haruki tries to play baseball with himself.]

Gonna have to work harder than that to improve your batting average, kid.

So you figure, your pals are off to go fight this big battle... so last thing they'd want is some distraction, like baseball, to keep their minds off it. Sounds reasonable enough.

Seemed a good idea to me. The only preparation I figure I need is a good night sleep and my own peace of mind. [Harder to get than usual.] One extra day of training ain't gonna make much of a difference.

But they've got enough to worry about without finding you back here feeling sorry for yourself. [He picks up one one more ball, tosses it in the air and catches it, before stuffing it in a pocket. [He wants to argue that point, to accuse Goroh of not knowing anything and basically call him and idiot. But he isn't an idiot, at least not right now. Haruki knows this man just saw right though him and it doesn't feel good at all. With a sigh, he drops the bat and walks over to the building to slide into a lean against it. He doesn't even stop the guy from leaving. He's got things to think about]
