Killing myself to graduate at a reasonable time

I've been looking in to graduate schools recently. Right now the decision is between UW - Seattle, UA - Tuscon, or UT - Austin. They all have a good MA program in Near/Middle Eastern Studies. The problem that arises when looking into a matter such as this is the pesky fact that I started school as a music major and therefore have about a semester' ( Read more... )

You're listening to Regina Spektor! :O

I thought only Lucy and I listened to her! That's awesome :D "Music Box" is my favorite song of hers.

Anyway, personally I'd suggest taking the lighter number of classes over the longer period but I'm just what way about stuff. You don't want to bun yourself out, especially when things are headed in such a great direction for you.

And you priorities are right on. In a general sense, I'll slow or even stop for an animal. Where as people. . . not so much.

I'm just not a "people" person.

Damn it. I can't include that song on your cd, now. I'm trying to make it of stuff you haven't heard (or that I don't know you've heard). And yes, Regina Spektor is wonderful. Us is my favorite by her. I'll have to check out Music Box.

I was actually leaning more toward the extra semester. That would give me a few months to work and save up a good bit of money for moving expenses, etc. I appreciate the support btw. It's one thing for my mother or girlfriend to vocally express such things. It's another to hear it from friends. So yeah, thank you.

People suck! Cats rule!

"Music box" is one of those songs that you've heard, but don't remember hearing. It was used in a JCPenny commercial a number of years back, which is funny cause the song seems to eb about an attempted suicide XD

Well whatever works for you is best. I could never do the extra classes, but I'm just a slacker like that.

You've always got my support man. . . . you're doing great and on your way to a better life, there's no way I couldn't support that!

Huh, we're totally having a moment here :P
