This nightmare comes to me every year on the same night and I usually pull through after a few days, but...

For some reason, it hit me especially hard this year.

Perhaps it's because you are in a strange place this time.

Maybe. Or perhaps it's because I've gotten to know what it's like being human.

When you were human? You weren't human before?

No, I wasn't.

The event in my nightmare happened over twenty years ago and my appearance hasn't aged at all since then, or the years before that.

[It takes her a moment to respond because, no she doesn't believe you. But then again, she went to Wonderland where there were cat and rabbit men. Then she arrived in this place where pokémon exist. Not to mention she's pretty damn convinced this is all a dream anyways, despite what anyone says. Sooo....]

It's not the easiest thing to believe, but you haven't given me a reason to think of you as a liar before.

...Thank you.

I may sound sentimental right now, but that means a lot to me, especially in my current condition.

It's not a problem, I understand....well probably not really. But I can sympathize.

Would you like to talk about it?

A lot of people don't understand, but I don't blame them. Most of us Nations don't really know how we were born in the first place.

...I suppose. Maybe talking about it will make things less painful.

Well, basically what happened is that I was sent with other soldiers to clear a large group of protestors out of one of my city's squares.

We were told not to open fire until further notice, so things were a standstill... at first.
