Well here we go...my first cross stitching W.I.P. post. As you'll see I've given up on protecting my parents' aninimity, but I trust my f-list not to stalk my parents :)

I've seen that pattern and have been tempted to get it for myself. I'm trying to behave and not getting anything new until I finish up some projects.

Your wips look great! The best friends one looks likes it's close to being done.

About 12 years ago, I inherited a set of china just like that from my grandfather and couldn't resist it when I saw it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I sort of enjoy seeing these up and I imagine it will be an even better feeling to see them edge toward completion :)

Yup, boiled it! LOL Actually I bought one on Jean's advice and it is wonderful, but when it arrived my Q Snap wouldn't, well snap. I read some reviews for it on the sight and someone said they had boiled it I'm assuming this forces maximum expansion/retraction of the plastic so I figured what the hell. And it worked like a charm afterward. Then last weekend when I was refitting the aida on it, the thicker bottom part just snapped. Now I don't know that the boiling caused that to happen, but even so I wasn't going to offer it up
