How DO they rise?

Check the date! The new Star Wars movie. It rocks. It totally rocks. I loved it. Oh, it had faults, but otherwise it was perfect. And if you are wondering how, exactly, that works out...don't. Wonder about the nature of the universe, instead. It is a lot more entertaining, not to mention productive ( Read more... )

Yes, I do in fact consider episodes 1&2 to have been problematic failure sof Lucas's carrer, a smirge upon the Star Wars franchise and a huge blot on the movies' reputation. :D

Terry Prachett has gotten steadily better and less funny lately. I rather like it, although if you want great Prachett humor, go with Guards Guards.

Oh, and I'm on facebook too. Peter Jung, that's me.

I read Guards,Guards! first. At least I think I did- is that the one with the "gonne"?

I do remember a nice idea of Vetrinari, which went somehting like "I want Vimes to get to the bottom of this, so I am going to fire him". Bloody genius.

I want more Vetrinari. He is awesome.

Don't know about progressivly better vs. funny- a Prattchett book has, IMO to be funny. Night Watch worked without the overwhelming laughter, but it seems like a once-ever sort of thing.

Yeah, well... It was okay.

I actually enjoy the interaction between Leonard of Quirm and Lord V. Now that's genius...

The Gonne one was Men at arms. Another good one...

Ah. I believe then, that Guards, Guards! is the one I scouted the library for and was unable to obtain.

I enjoy all/most of Vetrinari's interactions with others. His part in Night Watch was awesome.

A: "He complains that you never attended his class."
V: "I did. Religiously."
A: "He never saw you there."
V: "Whats your point?"

Heh. That is what I thought it was, but I was confuzed.

Be delighted! MIT has an all-girls dorm named after you. It is full of inocent-looking people that show "Mean Girls" at Campus Preview Weekend. Oh, the irony. :D

*grin grin grin* Tremere are awesome and you know it!

I was under the impression that you have played Vampire once, anyway. Favourite clan?

Toreador and Ventrue power. We'll talk you to death.

Brujah: Attitude. Muscles. Waste of Space.
Caitiff: Brujah with no muscle
Toreador: Caitiff with no attitute.
(This perspective is no way sanctioned by any clan tremere official)

I dare any ventrue to use "presence" in a room full of Tremere. We have a ritual just for that.

Although, truth be told, the only Torreador I ever saw played was a "Fighting is an art" type. Never saw a PC ventrue (that was actually useful)

So, they might be useful. OR, they might get crushed by the Clan Tremere. They can't talk you to death if you clamp their mouth shut.

I like the social characters. Unlike D&D, VtM social characters don't just bluff and charm, they dominate. Masquerade or no masquerade, the ability to make people cower at your feet is useful, especially if you're video taping it.

Oh, the Tremere have Dominate. It isn't our main discpline, but we still have it. I am actually thinking of putting some more dots into it when I can- Thaumaturgy is pretty but too damn expensive to use.

And, yeah VtM is awesome in offering the socialization opportunity. Got to give props for that.
