title: And Snowpeople gift for: kaliscoo author/artist: sadisticgrin summary: On a cold winter's afternoon, the Them examine certain holiday traditions (an illustrated fic). rating: G.
Wow, what a fic! I love the pic to - really well done. I don't know if I believe in santa, but adam clearly does, and I believe in him. Wensley's jewish?
Dog is a blast to write, most definitely. That, or I just have some weird mental issue where getting into the brain of a small hellhound is far easier than a medium sized pack of children.
Hmm.
Nonetheless, thank you very much for your lovely comments. <3
Oh! I wasn't saying that Dog is more beleivable than the Them -- I was most humbly saying that I adore your characterization of Dog. But this entire story is really quite lovely!
This is just fantastic - the characterizations, the voices - spot on and a joy to read! And I love the painting too: it's hard to get moonlight on snow, isn't it? (Love the fate of the pink coat!)
Drifted over via a friend of a friend. This is the first Good Omens fic I've ever read, but I sure hope there are more out there like this one; this is just perfect! You have Them all down pat, even Dog! I'd swear I was reading a short story in a Pratchett collection. (You should enquire if he's making an anthology, like Mercedes Lackey does with her Valdemar books, and accepting submissions! It can't hurt to ask...)

(And yes, as of now, my!Wensley is jewish. For today, anyway. Though, I imagine it's more of inherited thing. You know how that works at that age.)

Not quite sure why Wensleydale is Jewish, but it works. And it means arguing about Christmas, so all is made better.
And I love how the Santa is a poor department store guy. *grin* Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. :D

And I think you do a great job giving each of the Them a believable child's voice, too -- but Dog? he's got to be my favorite in this story.
Great descriptions, too!
