I love this! Love the concept, and the way it was developed.

“I’m terribly sorry,” said Aziraphale, casting a murderous glare at Crowley. “I should have known he’d try it on you as well. The pips are perfectly harmless, you see, and there’s not enough sunlight in your stomach for seeds to develop in there, anyway.”

And that? Made me laugh out loud - and it's not the online part that did. Brilliant story!

I'm glad you thought so, and gladder still you liked it enough to reread. :)

Thanks for taking the time to comment again, and for the beta job most of all - I'd have credited you before, but I was under the assumption we weren't supposed to say yet, and now I feel like a jerk. So sorry!

don't feel like a jerk at all! most folks don't mention their betas until after the exchange -- I didn't mention mine, either.

I admit it was the intriguing A/N that drew me to this story, but I'm very glad I ended up reading it! Wonderfully original concept, and great sense of humour too! I adored the alternative Eden, and how Aziraphale and Crowley were still in character even as they played the roles of Adam and Eve. Not to mention the great little one-liners like this:

“Typical. Whenever he rips apart the fabric of space and time, suddenly he’s my godson.”

:D Much enjoyed!

Oh wow, Secret Author, this is really awesome! You had me at, er, well, it isn't precisely "hello", is it? :D But oh, the opening scene was HOT, and then I really enjoyed Gabriel's role in the whole thing (they stole his flaming sword? Too awesome!) and the use of Newt as well. I was sure this was something other than a straightforward AU, but somehow that it was Adam, teaching them something, didn't even cross my mind until the reveal, so that was very well done. And the characterization is nicely done; they both say things and react in ways in the AU that it's hard to imagine for their canonical selves, but at the same time all of it feels right for Aziraphale and Crowley in the roles you've given them.

Thanks so much, Secret Author!

Thank you! I'm so relieved to hear that you liked it, and that the characterisation worked for you. I did try to foreshadow Adam's appearance without, you know, foreshadowing Adam's appearance. :) I'm so very happy that you enjoyed it - have a wonderful holiday season!
