Wow, this is great. I'd never really thought how Pollution took over from Pestilence, and this was a brilliant idea. White's ambition was a bit scary, and I couldn't help feeling a bit sorry for Ver and Raven. Sarahsan is a lucky girl indeed.

I love your characterizations -- the details you attribute to Famine and Pollution are particularly well-done.

I enjoyed the pacing and voice of your story-telling. Nicely done!

Absolutely unequivocally without question my favorite Horsepersons fic ever written. And I know I'm biased or whatever because it's my gift, but god. Damn. It was perfect. It was exactly what I've looked for in Famine/Pollution fic and never quite been able to find.

You've nailed them. I adore how sinister Pollution is, how hungry and gleeful. I love the power he gives humans (they give him?), "power over their own lives." Terrifying. The whole thing gave me the most delicious chills.

I particularly loved how Pestilence and Schwartz and Azrael are a bit of the Old Guard; they're Tradition and Pollution is so terribly different. How restless he is in a pre-industrial world! (And I thought you did a magnificent job of setting the story in its time period. Sure the Horsepersons are timeless but that just means they're comfortable in every time; I could so easily see Raven as a distinguished country gentleman out for a ride ( ... )

Oh, darling, I would be honored. It's funny, another writing buddy of mine and I were just talking yesterday about how every writer needs a sounding board (this was while I was spilling my guts to her about one of my current projects XD). I know exactly how you feel and I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can. In fact it'd feel totally like cheating because I'd get to read your Horsemen ideas before anyone else but you didn't hear that from me. <3

Also LOL at our charming entities giving you a hard time. I really wouldn't expect anything different of them. And I can't tell at all that you had problems writing this, because it really was that good. I loved it. I can't wait to see more from you. :D!

*grin* Excellent. Ooh, now I'm all excited. Darnit for having to wait until the big reveal, but I don't want to give the secret author bit away early. XD Ah well, it's the holidays anyway and I'm sure pretty much everyone's writing is on hold until afterward. (At least mine is. X.x Too many work shifts going on.)

We'll figure out something after the big reveal. ^_^ And in the meantime I'll be adding the third outline to my series so that I'm ready to write in the new year. :3

...remind me to poke said charming entities and tell them we're going to be working together for a long time yet. XD I can't wait either! Whee!

This was creepy. In a good way. Very good way. Pollution was rather scary though.

holy.
i think famine/pollution is fast on its way to becoming one of my new fave ships!

this was such a fab read! i absolutely loved how your pollution was sinister, complex and such a layered character. i think you did a fantastic job of portraying famine as well, and the contrast between the old and new horsemen was especially striking. good job!
