Title: Thirteen Ways of Looking at an Apple Gift Recipient: hsavinien Author: argyleheir Summary: In which one thing leads to another, and the Garden awakens. Rating: PG Author’s Notes: For Hsavinien. Happy New Year!
Oh, that's lovely! I enjoyed the language very much, the humor is well-placed (“Here, duckies! There’s a good ducky. I’ve yummy apple for you.” ^_^!), and it's a really solid discussion of the question of what the apple was, really.
Seeing the apple-lumps in Crowley, toasting them with Aziraphale's sword, vitamins for the preggers Eve--all great touches.
This was WONDERFUL, Secret Author...beautiful and funny. Perfect characterizations. I loved reading this, and, like Vulgarweed, I think I'm going to keep coming back to this one for a long time to come. Amazing job.
Wow, this is great. I love the line where Aziraphale plays solitaire. And Crawly full of lumps of apples! But I think my favourite part is where they feed the apple to the ducks, it's really priceless.
That was fantastic - so good, in fact, that I rec'd it to my brother who, tho a fan of the book, has never come across fanfic. But the image of Crawly with the sword stabbing the apple on Aziraphale head? Or Aziraphale being able to count all the apples Crawly swallowed, and roasting the apples, and the talking duck...and I could just go on, but this one is definitely being saved to be re-read. The characterisations and voices just seemed spot-on, a delight to read!
OMG I loved this! It was so freaking funny, and yet intelligent at the same time. I loved it when they fed the duck bits of apple and it began to talk what seemed like quantum physics, and discussed vitamins for pregnant Eve, and counting how many roasted apples Crawly had had,and drunk Crawly using the sword to stab the apple on Aziraphale's head despite having no limbs, and I could go on for ever! Wonderful!

Eventually, the serpent said, “So tell me if you’ve heard this one...”
And the angel hadn’t heard it. He listened.
