Title: A Misunderstanding Between Fools Recipient: irisbleufic Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley Rating: Not sure - 17 and up? Warnings: M/M relationship. No others except for a moment of violence towards sea-shells.
Crowley had grinned and said that he had a theory that holiday cottages were to books what his Bentley had been to music, and that they had probably started out as learned texts and classic novels
The delicate details throughout this piece are so lovingly wrought; the little carving sounds very much like it could be a netsuke bead, and I'm amused at Crowley turning it away so that it's not watching (he would). Andrew sounds like a decent enough sort, although I'd say it was a bit foolish of Aaziraphale not to be up-front about his so-called lodger right from the off (tsk). Crowley needing only lift his glasses to send the sheep skittering is a perfect and poignant reminder of the fact they'll never be fully human no matter how native they've gone. Thank you for this, and Happy New Year!
