This was fantastic. Death and Crowley not telling the others the stakes was a neat plot point. And I quite enjoyed the twist at the end.

Thank you so much! This Death was definitely a little more Discworld-inspired than perhaps the Death in GO, so I'm really glad you enjoyed it. To be honest, I'm not even sure what happened--only that they're happy, I think. :)

I'm so happy you liked it! I hope it adequately fulfilled your prompts and that you have a lovely holiday season! I had great fun writing this, so thanks for the ideas--the Horsemen aren't underused, as such, but I was so pleased to get a prompt that involved them.

*chokes and gestures at you*

Sweetie, yes, I know who you are, and you know what this did to me. You absolutely know what this did to me. You brilliant, maddening thing. This:

SPEAK NOT OF INJUSTICE, YE, FOR WE HAVE CONQUERED, said Death, his layered, echoing voice oddly resonant even for someone whose entire body was hollow, and then Crowley was suddenly sitting sprawled at Death’s feet, breathing heavily into his fist, his wings wrapped awkwardly around him.

“Here again,” he said, bitterly, and stood to his full, gangly height. “I’ve never wanted to be here again.”

“It’s a lovely place, though,” said Pollution from where he was digging into the ground. “I’ve always wished I could stay uninvited.”

“Yes, well,” said Crowley, looking uncomfortable. “It went a bit pear-shaped last time I was here, didn’t it.”

I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT OF IT AS APPLES, MYSELF, Death said, smiling his wide, wide smile.

OH GOD HELP YOU JUST NAILED EVERY ONE OF THEM.

Hi, you. <3 You know what high praise this is for me--I'm always so happy to hear from you, too. I'm thrilled you liked it, and I'm sure know what this did to me, too, for all that I was the one writing it (although: am I the one writing it, really, is sort of what I end up wondering--it feels like reaching for something that's already been created somewhere else, sometimes! Ah, ineffability). Happy holidays!

I'm pretty sure I was grinning throughout this whole fic, seriously. I'm trying and failing to pick out my favorite lines, because it would seem like ever other line at the very least is a contender. <33 But seriously-- Crowley and the Horsemen playing Pictionary, of all things, I am just done, I can't go on, I'm too in love with this whole fic-- the dialogue, the characterizations, everything. *flails in glee*

I'm so happy you liked it! I had great fun coming up with which game they should play, and I love seeing everyone's different reactions to the story; I very much meant it to be ambiguous(ish), so it's quite interesting to see the outcomes! Thank you so much for commenting. :)

I loved the portrayal of all the character, though Death is definitely my favorite. This was fantastic, with all the games, and the Pictionary really cracked me up.

Thank you so much! I had a fun time trying to pick the LEAST likely game of all time, and I'm glad it went over well!
