I love your portrayal of Pepper; I've often wondered if she'd feel a little insecure in her teen years (even if I also hoped she'd never change because she's kickass and awesome). And I must admit I identify with her a bit; I do dress in a feminine manner, but do not wear sexy clothes or more makeup than lip gloss (although my habit of spending more time in the library than around people also probably plays a major part XD).

And oh my god YES. It wasn’t like the movies where the girl put on a bit of make-up and suddenly the guy she was in love with was all over… and if Adam had been like that then she wouldn’t have wanted him anyway.That is one of my PET PEEVES (whether books, movies or fanfic), I hate it so much because it makes the points that a) boys are shallow and b) girls need to spend tons on sexy prom dresses and makeup or they're not worth a second look. THANK YOU for making both Pepper and Adam better than that

Funnily enough, I recall my first kiss being nothing like I imagined it would be either. I remember thinking that it was a lot less exciting and a lot messier. LOL. In a lot of ways I still think that.

I love Pepper in this. It's very...real. It reminds me of being a teenager and all the awkwardness that went with it. Very fun, well-written, and enjoyable! I'm glad I went back and realized i'd overlooked it!

Awwww, I'm so happy to see this pairing represented! I love the way you wrote Pepper in this, as a very real awkward teenager, but you know, still completely awesome, because she just is. :) And I love Adam's response, too!

Of course the type of pretty she wanted to be involved showing off her long legs (her best feature, especially when used to knock someone’s lights out) in a short skirt with a machine gun in her hands as she mowed down the nameless faceless bad guys in an action movie, except it didn’t need to be a movie, it should be real life. Too bad it was just too much trouble to get into the dress and she didn’t know how to apply make up. Normally when such fantasies came into her mind she’d sigh and decide that just the machine gun would work, and that she should ask Adam to create some kind of temporary alternate reality for her next birthday.

OH THAT IS AWESOME AND SO VERY PEPPER and damn, I wish I had an Antichrist for a friend.
