Title: Messrs. A. Fell & A. J. Crowley For inabathrobe From: refche Thanks to Karl Lagerfeld and his Ultimate Dandys editorial, bittbox for the wings, and resurgere for the stars.
This is absolutely wonderful, and when it is no longer three in the morning and I no longer have a headache and have no longer just kicked out four old friends who have been sitting in my living room talking for four hours, I will have an elaborate, focused, constructive comment to make. But for now:
This is fucking amazing. And now my desktop. And I don't think I'll be over how gorgeous it is when I wake up, either.
Sorry, this caught me during New Year's and my ensuing move back to Chicago. Better late than never!
I think this is absolutely marvelous. Love Aziraphale and Crowley as dandies, especially because Aziraphale reminds me of Beau Brummell for some reason. Crowley's solemnity is lovely, although he seems to think he is some sort of American bodyguard.
The wings are absolutely splendid. How did you know that I love faded writing in backgrounds? There is something very alluring about old handwriting. (Possibly because my own is so crap?)
The star punctuating the Oscar Wilde quotation is a wonderful touch, and I adore what you've down with the font(s, I'm thinking?), especially in terms of sizing and emphasis.
Altogether, absolutely wonderful! Thank you, and happy new year, secret artist!
Happy New Year! Crowley is just pissed that Aziraphale woke him up. :) I'm really glad you liked it, filling your request was challenging (in the best way) because I don't know you and you appear very specific about the things you like. Because words would just mess everything up, I aimed for something open to interpretation.
And I love old handwriting. I generally like all handwriting that's better than mine, but I love that the past put such emphasis on writing letters and writing them well. Aziraphale must miss that.

But then, I'm a sucker for 19th century dandyish stuff. And the Oscar Wilde quote...perfect!
