Sooo amazing! I'm so proud of the Chloe fandom! It was the only thing that made me feel better after the news that AM may only be back for a couple episodes and the majorly sucktastic crap covered Smallville season finale! I can't even believe how hard it sucked!

That is the sweetest thing ever! Way to go, Chloe fandom! *claps*

ETA: I forgot: I watched the finale a few minutes ago; it was so clinical and robotic. I loved, loved, loved Oliver and Chloe (aka, the only reason I decided to check out S9 episodes), but the lack of Chloe/Clark goodbye sucked. I'm only a casual viewer but to me Chloe is the heart of the show, and without her Clark has no spark. The show has no spark.

So that "something" was missing big time. And without that Chloe/Clark something, everything is meaningless. Not even the flashes of superman were exciting, given that it was no secret and it's been a long time coming. Unfortunately for Smallville, a great dynamic organically developed that interfered with the dynamics they set out to design and develop, but the show isn't only what's on the script, in black and white. It's a problem for them, and it takes away from the show when they resist it.

that's exactly how i felt during the whole episode. that "something" was missing. it just felt weird and so, i don't know, disconnected, and pretty much all of the scenes lacked depth in emotions, part of which is due to the performances of some of the actors.

I agree - it did feel disconnected! It was very technical, and Clark's sacrifice wasn't exactly shocking. This is the story of how he becomes Superman - the superhero of superheroes. He should be doing things like that on a daily basis by now. It's been 9 years.

I totally agree with you both! The season finale was very disconnected and robotic...actually this whole season has felt that way. Even the scenes that are suppose to be emotional and heartfelt just feel phony. It feels like everyone is just going through the motions and reading the scripts like they are just scripts and not stories. Without the amazing Chlark friendship, everything fell apart.
