What the heck is a Kettlebell?

 I was asked what a kettlebell is and thought I'd take a moment (wow I'm posty today!) to explain.
Please don't take this as any sort of expert advice. I'm brand new at the kettlebell myself, but really enjoying it!

OMG thank you so much!!!

it looks like a curling rock!!! troy has some of those and i have always wondered wtf they were for. (he told me they were just weights)

those works outs look nifty!

Anytime. They're great so far. You have to be careful with form, but I find them a lot more fun than dumbells and such, plus I can do it at home and it's relatively inexpensive to get started with one kettlebell.

The local news featured a local gym recently that combines kettelbells with an excersize ball. It looked like a really intense workout.

I dont know enough to know how they integrated the ball, but just using the kettlebell really is great so far. I've got a long way to go in learning though. I won a free personal training session at the gym and I think I'm going to use it to have them build me a kettlebell routine.

Not a diet per say, but I'm sticking to 1550 calories (I use myfitnesspal) and eat mainly a clean diet (whole foods). I try to be heavy on the protein and limit my carbs in the evening.
I'm definitely not eating like I did before I started all this. I used to eat anything and everything, now I'm very conscious of nutrients and calories.
