I didn't see it while it was a new show. I am watching the re-runs of it after Carol pointed it to me. Its really good. I am really enjoying it. So if you haven't seen it you should keep your eyes open for it on showcase

YES!!! I loved that show! Unfortunately they took it off the air here. They had it on Sci-Fi for a while.

Futureshop (Canadian Electronics Store) is selling them for $14 a season. I am seriously considering asking for them for my bday in a fortnight

Yes, that would definitely be worth owning. There's only one other tv series I liked well enough to purchase, BBC's "Monarch of the Glen". But if CBC ever put out "Beachcombers" on DVD, I'd probably seriously consider that too.
