An open letter to burr86,

Wow, you got pounced on pretty good last night, eh? (ETA: Ah, the post has now been deleted. I'm sure someone out there has screencaps.) (ETA2: Screencap here.) (ETA3: Entire post preserved here.) I contributed, both by commenting myself and linking to it in my journal, which probably sent more people over to jump on the ( Read more... )

Are you actually going to bring this to his attention? Because I think you should.

I don't think this would count as trolling, but sadly you're probably right that he wouldn't care.

I didn't realize it at first, either. Not that I am a dunce, I'd just never seen that LJ before, so it wasn't until I read more in the lj itself that I saw what the scoop was. I like this post very much, but I fear that the connection won't be made. "Well, this is different..." is what will likely be said.

It's just roleplaying. Fiction. Just fiction.

I guess Thomas Harris really is a cannibal then...after all, he writes Hannibal Lector so it must be so.

And there's no shame in that, really. No one could be expected to really understand if they haven't been part of it. This is a chance to learn something, and I hope the chance is taken advantage of.
