Time Visualization

Time visualization fascinates me. The idea is simple:
  1. Take video footage, or a series of time-lapse photos from a camera.
  2. Stack the frames one on top of the next. This creates a 3-dimensional [2D + time] space.
  3. Cut a slice (or curve, or shape) out of that space.
  4. Project it back onto a 2D surface.

What a cool idea. I'd been thinking it might look a bit boring, but then I saw the illustrations and realized you don't have to make an orthographic projection.
