Was the old lady the same one from when Desmond was hopping through time who told him he couldn't change anything?

Do you remember if Danielle and Jin had much interaction on the island or if she ever indicated that she may have met him before, say in the 80s?

I was asking that last night. Maybe she gave him a crazy eye look, but it was just assumed be her being all crazy.

This ep was good! I feel for young Rousseau, her man friend almost shot her! Totally weird that the smoke made them turn against her. I thought it was funny when Ben pulled the van over when Sun and Jack were talking about shooting him, just like "WILL YOU PEOPLE PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP, I AM BEN LINUS REMEMBERRRRRR" haha. I'm confused about the fact that Kate is not with them, and Desmond is there? Certainly he doesn't want to go back to the island! Jin's english and accent are magically improving/disappearing. I don't care that Charlotte died, I thought she was kinda annoying the whole time. Daniel Faraday is the master of the longest looks.

And yea...Jin's English does conveniently come and go. I also noticed one of the French folks at one point say some exclamation in English, which seemed weird.

I hear ya about Charlotte. She was a little annoying. I do think she was great at being all crazy/jumping around in her head at the end there. Maybe that's why they picked her!

I think it was easier for the actor to just never have to speak English since it is his real life language and now he has to pretend to talk in an accent he doesn't have in real life and still be understandable in English which I would think a Korean speaker who learned a few english words over the course of a couple months would not be. That run on sentence made sense in my head....

I heard a rumor his Korean is actually pretty bad accent-wise.

As much as I like Desmond, I was so grateful for there not being a drawn-out subplot about Desmond traveling to LA.
