I still have about 45 minutes to go (and so am not reading your post or comments until we finish it tomorrow night), but the makers of Lost can all go to hell for making me cry and hold on to K like that...
for now all i can say is HELLO ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTION!! I will read back on this thread tomorrow for insights and after i've digested all i just saw. geez!
I was really happy for Desmond and Penny too! I thought the entire episode was fantastic. It was my favorite of the season by far.
I keep wondering if Sawyer and Juliette are gonna get it on. Seems like it's brewing!
I also have one question: Why did it matter that Miles was eating the peanuts? I mean, a guy's gotta eat! But there was obviously some meaning - they made a point of making a short scene out of it.
Ohman...I'm totally with you on Sawyer and Juliette. They certainly have a lot in common, and now that Kate and Jack are outta there.
ALSO....when Kate was at the helicopter and Sawyer and Jack came tromping out of the jungle, all I could think was "awwwkwarrrrd!"
I think it's that Rose (and probably other castaways) doesn't like or trust him. They say later that "bad stuff" happens after The 6 get off the Island...I wonder if that's some foreshadowing?
I am kinda relieved that the love triangle has been broken up, but obviously Sawyer is still calling Kate, etc. Honestly, that storyline makes me nuts - I wish she would just pick one!
I was wondering about that! Is he calling her, or is someone calling her bc of whatever Sawyer asked her to do? I sort of think it has to do with his baby...the one he got the money for when he was in prison in a previous season.
dude, so much happened in that finale my head's still spinning! so happy when Des and Pen found each other (but i agree about not realizing it would be that soon),
and the Walt and Hurley scene, where he asks why none of them came to see him (except Locke - who of course would find Walt, it would be out of character if he hadn't). i felt so bad for him; this whole time, having to act like he was never missing, then some of the people who shared his experience are found, and NONE of them bother to see him. brutal.
In their defense, they maybe didn't know where Walt was. Most never really talked to Michael on the ship and wouldn't necessarily know his mother's name and address or anything. I only remember him telling Sayid and Desmond the story. Plus they were all caught up in their lies and babies and crazinesses.
that is true - i totally forgot that they changed their names when they got back! but how did Locke find him? oooh, also, now that i'm thinking about it, Hurley looked like he felt guilty about not visiting him. maybe Walt had tried to get into contact with them?
too many questions!!! the wait for next season is going to be so harsh!

I guess that was earlier in the episode than I remembered! That made me really upset, too. :( I was totally rooting for Jin!
