stoopid dyes. If I had to guess, I would think the remover with acetone would be your best bet.

One more thing to try (and I know this is a long shot and will take time to get and do) is this: I've seen at Lowe's little bottles of paint (they look just like nail polish bottles and I've found them at the the end of or near the paint aisle) that come in the standard white or almond colors that appliances come in. maybe get some of that to paint over the stains. if your douche-lord is going to rip out the back of the apartment anyway, maybe you can camoflage the stains just enough so he'll give your money back.

that's a good idea-the appliance paint. they also sell this stuff for refinishing sinks and tubs. I used it to paint my upstairs sink white because it was that nasty 80's beige swirl pattern. It's not a permanent fix (3 years later, the sink is starting to look like ass) but it will CERTAINLY cover your stains and get your deposit back. but I'd try the touch up paint first and see if that works.

I was actually going to suggest the same thing. I used it in my Cville apt to make my tub and sink look presentable. Works pretty well, although it would definitely take you a long time to paint over an area that big. Still, better than losing all your deposit.

so is this like a standard cheapie plastic shower stall, all one piece? the paint-n-wax sounds good. have you considered plain old paint thinner, or turpentine? what do you use to clean paintbrushes?

I'm shocked the magic eraser didn't work! It has worked on cranberry juice stains on my porous countertop that nothing else touched.
