Oh my god oh my GOD! You wrote the PERFECT story, I am actually incoherent with delight right now! I love that you went with the snowy cafe AU during an intergalactic war, but painted such a detailed world with glimpses of something more, beyond--the threat of the unknown curling outside the coffee post, and the sinister hints about how the job offer isn't entirely what it seems like. There's so much, the seed in a locket, the snow outside, that makes me so thirsty for more, but that ending with their leap of faith--and Fly, little demon--is fantastic.And I enjoyed three characters so thoroughly, and their relationships: Jo, insouciant, but resourceful in digging her way out with a coffee scoop; Bela, convinced that she only cares about her sharp focus on the goals, but softened edges for the few she's come to care about; the hints of an earlier friendship between the two of them. And Anna, with her fierce warrior armour, but the hint of rebellion that lurked underneath all this time, that Bela is able to tease out

You have no idea how happy I am that you enjoyed this! I kind of took your interglactic coffee shop femslash prompts as a dare and tried to see if I could make it work. You gave me such a fun thing to work with, and I fell in love with writing from Bela's POV and also started to find the idea of her and Jo as girl demons adorable?? I'm also so glad their characterization seemed on to you. I have a headcanon about Jo and Bela that I feel very hearts-in-eyes about. This was originally going to be a threesome fic actually, but I couldn't make it work so I took that out. But read into it as you will

I really enjoyed this. I love how Bela's and Jo's different escape plans reflect their personalities, and Anna and the hellhound was hilarious/adorable. And yes, angels would be the customers from hell (sorry).
