Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Art Masterpost

Sam/Dean, 30k, PG-13

SUMMARY: Sam has memories of a brother, but they're fragmented and faded, probably dreams. What he does have, though, is a reindeer.

Queen Anna and her sister Charlie are happily ruling Arendelle, and all is well. Not so great for the ice manufacturing business but Sam's okay with that. Then, his reindeer pal up and abandons him and he's left high and dry, until he stumbles over an amnesiac stranger at the royal ball. Their quest to find Sam's reindeer and the stranger's memories takes them on a snowy adventure, not only through the wilds of the mountain, but into who they really are, to reveal something that neither of them expect ....

AUTHOR'S NOTE: So this story has been an exciting journey. First of all, I was lucky enough to be chosen by justira during art claims! And she has done such wonderful Disney-style art. I love it so much, she is a rockstar. Go shower her with love and compliments here and check out her other art, because it is so so lovely.

Thank you forever to all the peeps who had to hear about me adulterating Frozen. I hope that it's possible to read this without having seen the movie, but if you haven't, perhaps you should watch Reindeers Are Better Than People. My sisters actually got me to see the movie in the first place by marketing it as a story about sister princesses with Sam and Dean in the background, so if you are looking for where to place blame, they are it. Also, The Story of Us by Taylor Swift. And consolation presents should be sent to all the RL people who probably wondered why I constantly have had the soundtrack stuck in my head. They can never know, and they are probably better for it.

Nextly, oddishly, brave brave soul, was good enough to read this when it was in pieces, and was so helpful in brainstorming with me while I figured out where this story was going. And of course, props to wendy, who has somehow pulled together another excellent spn-j2-bigbang.

And finally, thank you to Oprah, who wrote the following on a Starbucks cup sleeve I saw when I was trying to finish this:

"Seek to be whole, not perfect."

I hope you enjoy the story. I am now free to go read other Big Bangs! Whee!

fic, spn
