Podfic has continued to be the best thing in the world while doing mindless data entry at my new job. I give you: my second rec list! In listening to hours of podfic, I've come across all kinds of cool effects, like readers making their voices more distant when someone's on the phone, and Heat of the Moment playing after deaths in the Mystery Spot

YAY! another best of the best. I love your rec lists. I see you're making your way thru candle_beck. You've listened to "The Land of the Blind" right. omg. It just guts me I love it so much. I would like to be listening to candle_beck when I'm laying on my death bed. I can think of no better way to go.

I'm glad you like my rec lists. I kind of feel like anyone who listens to podfic could find these themselves, but I like reccing because it's fun? Anyway, Reparo is absolutely amazing. Were you/are you in HP fandom? This is like, classic-feeling H/D fic, and super long, packed full of details. Also, the reading is super great. I just gave two of my sisters an overview of the plot for ten mins, separately. I love it.

American Myth is how I fell into Sam/Dean, it is quite possibly one of my all time favorite fanworks of all time, all the time, forever.
I should re-listen.

It was one of the first Sam/Dean I read and kind of ripped my heart out. Candle_beck is such an amazing reader, too.

Yaaay, glad Astro File Manager is working out for you! :D It's so awesome to be able to download podfic right on to my phone because I'm too lazy to transfer files from my laptop to my phone. \o\ /o/ \o\ Also, so glad you liked Gay Chicken! It was so much fun to record (there was a lot of yelling at each other to omg stop laughing).

Oh my god, that podfic was cracking me up. How did you guys co-podfic? Were you next to each other? Or sitting on skype or something?

We were all in the same room! We recorded while lounging on Cantarina's pillow mountain (lots of pillows + futon)! Cantarina and I live in the same city, and Lunchee was touring the US/Canada that summer, and crashed on Cantarina's floor for a few days -- so we had to take advantage of the situation and podfic together! Lunchee also gave us a crash course on how to edit using Garageband right before her taxi came to cart her off to the airport! (We also recorded this podfic: http://cantapodpatrol.livejournal.com/9348.html -- we had convinced another podficcer to drive down and record with us, even though she wasn't in the SPN fandom XD)

Thank god you and other people have podficced so well and prolifically, otherwise I'd be sitting at work going brain dead.
