A new recipe I want to toy with this weekend

I recently remade my beer-bratwurst and sauerkraut recipe:

--one package uncooked beer-bratwursts
--two packages boar's head sauerkraut (about equivalent of one to two medium size vlassic jars), rinsed
--one large bottle of good German ale or lager
--one large shallot cut into large chunks

place the bratwursts in the bottom of a pot or pan. add the shallot. bury in sauerkraut, pour beer in. Simmer for an hour.

This time, I also bought a loaf of french bread and some good German mustard, and made sandwiches. It wasn't bad.

So what I want to do this time is:

--prepare the brats and sauerkraut as above
--spread mustard on slices of french bread, add slices of swiss cheese. melt in the broiler
--place mustard cheese-toasts on plate
--serve the brats and kraut over the cheese toasts.
