Oh, this was fun to read. The language was beautiful - a layperson applying what they understand to the supernatural leads to really interesting analogies. The scene leading up to the bowl of light felt appropriately fast-paced, and the scene immediately after appropriately worried.
I agree with above posters that your Dean!voice is fantastic - I can easily hear him saying everything you've written in his dialogue. I also really like how Damien perceives Castiel as so very otherworldly. The prose you used matched up with so many of Castiel's quirks and characteristics that I could clearly picture what he was doing the entire time.
It was a lot of fun to look at Dean and Sam's world through the lens of someone who really didn't understand the bulk of what was going on, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review!
I just stumbled onto this story and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I have a particular fondness for outsider-POV stories, and this one is perfect; I really like Damien's narrative voice. This is well-written and the characterization is spot-on. I'm glad to see that there will be more, because I want to see Damien and Barnes actually react to the fact that angels exist! Thank you for sharing!
There aren't nearly enough outside pov stories, in my opinion. This went pretty far astray from what I originally had in mind when I started this story, but I'm pretty content with how it came out, and I'm so glad people are enjoying it. Thanks for the review!
