Because anyone who would actually be a decent teacher has much better job opportunities? I dunno, I spend most of driver's ed trying not to fall asleep. :|

Quite possibly! The guy who gave me my drive test was rather large and got all snappy when I didn't leave enough room for him to get out when I parked afterwards. :| Although, the job itself probably doesn't do much for one's mood!
