Sting wasn't an English teacher before he became a rock star for nuthin', though you lost that sometimes in the more hard rock/new wave sound of The Police, before he turned to the more gentle stuff he's done on his own in his middle age ;-)

How embarrassing! But then, I've never been able to understand what Sting was saying in the song, so I guess it makes sense that I didn't recognize the lyrics.
