I was so happy to see this story as I absolutely love this series! :-) The issue of Wallander's diabetes (and inability to take care of himself) seems like such an integral part of his character that it was great to see it addressed in this story. I can easily understand why Wallander doesn't want Lestrade to explore this very vulnerable side of himself, especially as Wallander is such a private person. And I'm not surprised that Lestrade would want to know more about Wallander's condition as he obviously cares about him deeply and just wants to help. I thought it was quite sweet that Lestrade questioned Wallander's dietary choices and wanted to test his insulin levels for him. Best of all (hands down) was Lestrade calling John for help when Wallander started slipping into a diabetic coma. I got such a kick out of the revelation that Sherlock knows about Lestrade's relationship with Wallander. Oh, and Lestrade freaking out afterwards was wonderful. It's so true that it's harder on the ones left behind, especially if the hurt or sick ( ... )

Thanks so much! I love that you love the series! XD

I'm actually working on two stories that precede this one timeline-wise - one will be for the Journey Big Bang and will explain Sherlock's knowledge of the relationship. I also have an idea for a future one-off that would involve John directly, but I fear that Sherlock series 2 may screw up the timeline for what I have planned and I'll have to go back to the drawing board on that one.

I really love this crossover. I found myself writing fanfiction to your fanfiction the other day, in my head.

Yes! My evil plan to snare other authors into writing this pairing proceeds apace. *mwuahahahaha!*

(Seriously, if you ever do want to write this pairing, go for it!)
