I really enjoy this fic, I hope you keep going, I guess because to me it is in character for both, and they are older, mature men.

This is so poignant. I love the intimacy of Kurt putting Greg's ring on the widower's finger, and of Kurt's panicked apology at his own pleasure. Kurt's almost painful self-restraint is so well written, so spot on, and it's lovely to see how Greg intentionally pulls him out of himself. And I adore your use of ACD canon in Greg's own self-awareness of his bulldog-like tenacity. Greg's need for connection is painfully raw and convincing here, and I'm so, so glad Kurt invited him to stay. You're doing a masterful job with these two great characters, and I can't wait for more.

Thanks so much for the lovely feedback! I'm really glad Kurt's characterization is coming through as I intended it, since I haven't written him before. And I've always loved the bulldog line, so I was happy to get a chance to use it. :-)

I usually don't like crossovers too much, bt this... just wow. I love Wallander and seeing a fic about him and Lestrade. I'm really, really speechless right now, so I'm sorry for not making sense here. I just keep re-reading this part. You did an amazing job on the characterization and te intimacy between Kurt and Lestrade...
