*hugs* Don't worry about it too much; take good care of yourself and enjoy being healthy right now! =)
My family history is stuffed completely full of cancer (every grandparent and one aunt, so far) (other stuff, too, like MS/Lupus), and I'm pretty darn sure I'm gonna croak from it sooner or later. But that's in the future, so right now I gotta enjoy my healthy, working body as much as I can. There'll be plenty of time to whine about it when I do get sick someday. =D
I have lost one grandmother to breast cancer, and my other grandmother survived it. Add to that the fact that my uterus is really fond of growing polyps, and that puts me in a pretty damn high risk catagory.
I've seen the ravages that cancer can cause....and I've seen more women survive it than die from it. That's what keeps me from freaking out is the fact that I know that it CAN be survived, especially when it's caught early. In fact, not only can it be survived, it's more and more likely every year that it will be survived. I laugh now that I don't fear cancer, but I do fear tonsilitis (after having had it something fierce at 17 on a school trip to Germany).
It's a risk. So is driving, so is eating, so is breathing these days. But it sounds like you are doing the right things - getting looked at on a regular basis. Always remember that catching it early is the best way.
