Ragged, soft-shelled crabs dig themselves up from sand the colour of crunchy peanut butter. They climb onto the beach and meet the ocean if they are lucky; otherwise they make a tasty buffet for a wheeling petrel or a discerning fisherboy. Emerging from their warm, subterranean homes, I wonder if they were lonely, if they fear a world that is too ( Read more... )

Oh, I did. Don't worry; no actual lobsters were harmed in the production of this post. XD Have you though?

I'm sorry. But maybe when you see it you'll be appetised? And failing that, vegetables are pretty safe, I mean. /frets

Did you hear of the 140 year old lobster who was freed from a restaurant back to the ocean?

This is lovely. It reminds me of... (I just saw it, I can hardly remember the name) -- I think it was Tao Lin, 'Poem Written by a Bear.' Like that. Except I like this much more.

I did! I can't help but be worried that it won't be able to look after itself after being captive for so long but I'm glad that concerned citizens can still make a difference.

Thank you. I'll have to look it up now. :) Keep safe on that plane trip and I want you to know that if you ever made a movie I'd be first in line to see it. :P

ETA: I've actually read that poem! I really should pay more attention to titles.

I was thinking about that, too -- but then again, 140 is really old so I'm sure he has wisdom and many past experiences that'll help him get by. :D

Thanks! And... XDD I want a video camera so much -- NOT LIKE I'D SHOOT STUPID FANFIC-MOVIES but there's something about images and footage. ♥

You should get published one day.

It is, isn't it? I think maybe he should be glad he wasn't born a turtle; they'd have tourists riding his shell in Taronga Zoo. XD I hope you're right.

With the way you travel, I'm sure the scenery and people would be breathtaking. And hey, they shot Brokeback Mountain; it's an inspiration for stupid fanfic-movies everywhere. /shot Not to mention there's no way your Sweden/Denmark would be stupid.

God knows it's something I've dreamed about but I don't know if I have what it takes. I could say the same (and more) of you.

Yeah, I got infected by all the people renovating for the new year. XD I'm sort of compulsive when it comes to things I look at for extended periods of time, like my desktop. I think yours is already quite lovely but thanks very much!

Me too; I'm an avid devourer of fish. It's just that lobster for some reason gets me every time.
